專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么?Many industries need professionals who can understand and translate complex science and the legal profession is one of these. With a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Laws, you will graduate with two degrees and a suite of specialist skills that will allow you to carve out a niche in the legal sector, with jobs across patents, intellectual property and even forensics.
As a science student at Sydney, you will be taught by dedicated scientific thinkers, including members of the Australian Academy of Science, Australian Research Council Fellows, winners of prestigious prizes such as the Prime Minister's Prizes for Science and the Eureka Prizes which reward excellence in research and innovation, leadership, and science engagement. You will study in world-class facilities, including the multimillion-dollar Sydney Nanoscience Hub and the Charles Perkins Centre, which is dedicated to research into diabetes, obesity and cardiovascular disease.
Majors
You are required to choose one major from the Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Laws options below. There are no majors available in Law. The course structure and Units of Study for Law are as follows: The course structure for Law: First year: Foundations of law, legal research I, torts. Second year: Civil and criminal procedure, contracts, criminal law. Third year: Torts and contracts II, legal research II, public international law, public law. Fourth year: Administrative law, corporations law, equity, evidence, federal constitutional law, introduction to property and commercial law, real property and the legal profession. Final year: Private international law A and seven elective units of study.

If you wish to practise law, you will need to complete an accredited program of practical legal training after completing your degree. Our graduates are proficient in research and inquiry. International students commencing in Semester 2 will not be able to start the Law component until Semester 1 of the following year.
