在這里學(xué)什么？

This program focuses on learning how to improvise or create new music in a range of musical styles, including the jazz tradition. Learn from some of the most highly regarded improvised music practitioners in Australia. We also offer performance opportunities with three big bands and eleven small ensembles.

Our four-year Bachelor of Music (Improvised Music) produces broadly educated musicians who can apply their knowledge and skills in various music and arts-related contexts and professions. We also allow you to forge creative interdisciplinary links with other musicians at the Conservatorium, as well as with students and academics throughout the University of Sydney, enabling you to prepare for a variety of new careers.

Course opportunities

All students at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music participate in master classes with visiting artists, public recitals and performances in world class venues. Students may participate in international performance tours each year and may undertake exchange study at an overseas university as an integral part of their course.

Graduates of the Bachelor of Music (Improvised Music) are broadly educated musicians able to apply their knowledge, skills and attitudes creatively and flexibly in a variety of music and music-related professions including, jazz musician, collaborative musician and folk musician.

English Language Requirements: IELTS overall score of 6.5 with no band below 6.0; TOEFL Paper based score of 565; TOEFL IBT: 85; PTE Academic score of 61; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): 58; Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE): 45; Cambridge English scale: CAE and CPE: 176.
