Whether you are passionate about producing high quality nutritious food, excited about getting into the food business, or looking to make an impact through applied science, the Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Food and Agribusiness) provides an excellent launch pad for your career.

The degree offers a unique combination of a double major in Food Science and your choice of a Business or Economics discipline. Industry is looking for graduates who are critical, creative and adaptable, who can help to solve emerging challenges and support innovation. The Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Food and Agribusiness) will arm you with a highly sought after set of skills and knowledge, professional development through embedded internship and research experiences, and the flexibility to position yourself for diverse careers in the food and agribusiness sector.

Majors

You are required to complete a program in Food and Agribusiness including a major in Food Science and a major from: Agricultural and Resource Economics; Accounting; Banking; Business Analytics ; Business Information Systems; Business Law; Economics; Economic Policy; Finance; Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management ; International Business; Management; Marketing.

Whether it be in beer brewing, or consulting with PwC, or working from paddock to plate with a food distribution company, or food and beverage product development and marketing.

Graduate opportunities

The degree will open up many careers to you, including roles in food/agribusiness industry in food production, processing operations, quality assurance, food safety, new product development, research and development, supply chain and logistics management. Depending on second major, roles in agribusiness banking/finance, marketing, and consumer research, retail, procurement, trade, industrial relations/human resources, information systems, policy.

English Language Requirements: IELTS overall score of 6.5 with no band below 6.0; TOEFL Paper based score of 565; TOEFL IBT: 85; PTE Academic score of 61; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): 58; Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE): 45; Cambridge English scale: CAE and CPE: 176.
