About this course

The postgraduate program in sexual and reproductive health provides a diverse and inter-professional curriculum suitable for Australian and international students interested in the range of disciplines related to HIV, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), sexual and reproductive health.

**** online course delivery

In this course there are four specialisations on offer. If you choose a public health or a generalist 'no speciality' pathway all units of study will be completely online.

If you choose HIV and STIs or Pyschosexual therapy and reproductive health and fertility, these specialisations are also mostly online, however they do require a 2 week intensive face-to-face session on campus.

Both options are extremely flexible and will allow you to tailor your study schedule around your lifestyle.

Why study this course?

Globally, the challenges of sexual and reproductive health including HIV/STIs, infertility, and unintended pregnancy continue to be a significant public health issue. Challenges to sexual function and wellbeing also impact on the health of individuals. Comprehensive prevention and treatment of sexual and reproductive health issues requires a thorough understanding of the psychosocial contexts in which they occur as well as the biological and diagnostic aspects of sexual and reproductive health and wellbeing.

Designed by our experts, the program enables students to address these challenges head-on through flexible units that deliver maximum professional relevance and choice.

Students will have opportunities to:

develop high levels of knowledge and appropriate skills in dealing with the psychosocial contexts, effective prevention strategies and management techniques for HIV, STIs, sexual and reproductive health issues learn to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams on the practical challenges faced by professionals working in these areas

Who should study this course?

This course is designed for graduates from a wide range of disciplines, including doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, counsellors, laboratory scientists, public health officers, health promotion specialists, researchers and other allied health practitioners or students who are interested in working in the field of HIV and STIs, psychosexual therapy/sexology, sexual and reproductive health.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Applicants need to have one of the following: a bachelor’s degree with first or second-class honours from the University of Sydney or another approved institution; an equivalent qualification that demonstrates sufficient research experience and capability. English Language Requirements: TOEFL - IBT score: A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing; IELTS score: A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band; TOEFL - PBT score: A minimum result of 592 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing.
