The Master of Architectural Science (Audio & Acoustics) will give you a solid foundation in the design, measurement and theory of audio and acoustics. You will gain a deep understanding of how sound shapes our experience of communication, entertainment, and spatial awareness, opening up a diversity of career paths including audio production, system design and acoustic consulting.

Throughout the program, you will combine aesthetic sound design, new media, sound recording and system design with acoustic engineering, computer modelling and psychology. You will build on a foundational understanding of the broader aspects of design science (including illumination, building services, sustainable design and indoor environment quality), with access to the School of Architecture?s world-class facilities.

A broad range of subjects enables you to choose units on specialised knowledge of audio technology and acoustical science. You can extend your coursework-based learning with a research project, and benefit from a diverse offering of electives in recording and sound production.

為來自中國的學生設計 Applicants need to have one of the following: a bachelor’s degree with first or second-class honours from the University of Sydney or another approved institution; an equivalent qualification that demonstrates sufficient research experience and capability. English Language Requirements: TOEFL - IBT score: A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing; IELTS score: A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band; TOEFL - PBT score: A minimum result of 592 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing.
