專業(yè)概況

在這里學(xué)什么？

The Double Degree programme is a Hong Kong Baptist University innovation. After five years of full-time study, students graduate with a Bachelor's degree (BA) with honours in English Language and Literature, and a Bachelor's degree with honours in Education (BEd).

The double degree provides in-depth knowledge and understanding of the subject area and, at the same time, prepares students to be professionally qualified English language teachers. This arrangement ensures a close association between the development of subject knowledge and the practice of teaching. Places are available for Primary Teaching and Secondary Teaching.

The Double Degree also gives access to a wide range of career opportunities, both within and outside teaching. It offers an excellent grounding for many career routes which draw on the in- depth study of the subject, and the organisational, interpersonal and professional skills which are the characteristics of a qualified teacher.

The BA (Hons) in English Language and Literature and BEd (Hons) in English Language Teaching is a five-year full-time programme. It provides thorough preparation in two distinct disciplines: English Language and Literature and Education Studies.

Students who successfully complete the programme will hold a recognised teaching qualification that meets the Government′s requirements for professional English language teachers.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) English Language Requirements : TOEFL- Internet-based test (iBT) - Score: 79; or Paper-based test (PBT) - Score: 550; IELTS Academic: Overall Band: 6.0. Grade C or above in GCE O-Level/ GCSE/ IGCSE English; or Grade E or above in GCE AS Level or AL Level English; Grade E or above in HKALE Use of English (AS Use of English); IB - Grade 4 in: IB English A (Higher or Standard Level); or IB English B (Higher Level); or IB English Literature and Performance (Standard Level) or Grade 5 in: IB English B (Standard Level).
