專業(yè)概況

在這里學(xué)什么？ This is a joint honours course, where you will study two subjects. Criminology analyses the nature, occurrence and explanations of crime, criminal behaviour and societal responses to these phenomena. On this course you will tackle some of the most fundamental questions behind what makes an act or action a crime and how responses to crime can be analysed from different perspectives and theoretical frameworks. You will also look at historical patterns of crime, how perspectives of crime have changed over time, and explore contemporary criminal justice and policy to crime, anti-social behaviour and disorder. Our History degree will take you through the events that have shaped the modern world today, including some of the great political debates that have yet to be settled. As you explore History with us you will gain a greater appreciation of how legal, political and social change comes to pass. You will learn about different societies and ideologies, such as how perceptions of masculinity have changed over time, and look at concepts such as ‘evil’ and ‘power’.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Qualifications equivalent to UK A-levels: Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate PLUS a recognition foundation course. Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate plus Gaokao (National College Entrance Examination/National College Entrance Examination/NCEE). IELTS 6.0-7.0, with 6.0 in reading and writing, and 5.5 in listening and speaking. One year of university in China achieving at least 75% overall.
